There are actually 8 cables. The reason no Tech has called you back is MOST Mobile Techs have no clue how this system operates or how to fix it. Read this link and you will see what is involved. You do have to remove the overhead wood access panels to get to the motor and cable connections at the top. Once a cable breaks, depending on how frayed it is can be a pain(LABOR cost), to remove it and install a new cable. I usually tell a customer a minimum of 4 hours sight unseen when working on a Accuslide cable system. Until I get into the system and remove access wood panels, it can be more than 4 hours. Doug
