It is not difficult to hook up a small inverter to run the TV/DVD, and you could be in a place off-grid that does not allow generator use in the evening to watch your movie.
The idea is to watch the movie in the evening using the inverter and then next day during "generator hours", use the gen/charger to recharge the batteries.
That also fits in well with other campers. Common courtesy. The whole notion of "generator hours" being in the daytime and not at night is because that is what people want.
