Help with Cummins Onan Marquis Gold altitude problems

I'm trying to help a friend who is not an Internet/Forum kind of person. He has a Cummins Onan Marquis Gold gas generator model 55HGJAB-6755K. We live at 8200 feet, and he regularly camps between 9-10...

There is an adjustment knob for altitude on the ONAN carb but I don't think it goes up to 8K. Does his have the adjustment knob and has he turned it up all the way?
