Seems like it would be more simple to let the customizable controller cap the absorption voltage at 14.8V. No other manual adjustments would be necessary at any time then, except for during equalization. Just my opinion, though.

Yikes! Again, I'd like to just let the controller deal with this. I'm fine with the stock settings for now, except for voltage >14.8V.
