Hmm that's a problem. Inverter load can easily vary battery state more than a few tenths of a volt. I wonder what the sampling speed is of the solar controller? I wonder how big a capacitor it would take right at the inverter to slow down the response? Probably too big to be economical.
If it were a small inverter you could drop the voltage with a diode and bypass the diode with a high current switch. Not really economical at 1500w.
Hmm do you need more capacity or can you split your batteries into two banks? You could run the inverter from a bank not being charged.
