Hi pianotuna. So it sounds like the inverter you are mentioning also behaves like mine does. It had crossed my mind to put a bigger load on the inverter to pull the voltage down rather than cutting off the panels. I used an electric rice cooker one afternoon so I had rice ready for dinner that night. My thought for an "as needed" basis was switching the fridge over from gas to electric. I've got the capacity to run the water heater on electric as an option, too, but that would be a pretty heavy load for my system. Has this been your long-term technique for dealing with this?
