Help with custom Morningstar Tristar PWM setup

Hello. Can I get some help setting up my Morningstar Tristar 45 PWM controller with custom setpoints? I have been using it at the stock 14.6V absorption voltage profile with temperature compensation...

This is beyond confusing :) OK why does the controller take so long to establish that set point, allowing the spike that shuts off the inverter?

And even if it did, why doesn't the inverter start to work again after voltage drops below 15v?

What's all this 14.4v shut off stuff? Back to a bad connection somewhere and voltage drop?
