Got into controller's two hour Absorption Stage (temp comp) of 14.6v, showing about 14.4 on Tri for various reasons.
Meter says 14.47 at DC panel when laptop on as load for the 1000w PSW Xantrex inverter--yank laptop volts jump to 14.62. Plug back in , volts drop to 14.24 then climb back to 14.52 then settle to 14.47.
Try again--14.45 unplug, jumped to 14.73, back to 14.47. Plugged back in, voltage dropped to 14.20 climbed back to 14.6ish
Try again, 14.45 unplug, jumped to 14.67, plugged in dropped to 14.17, back to 14.47.
Check Tri, steady 14.4v , 2.8a, -9.17AH
Try again, meter at 14.45 jumped to 14.69, plugged in dropped to 14.18 back to 14.47.
Last time, late in the day voltage dropping anyway, as amps drop sun low, Tri 14.3/4 , amps 2.3, -8.71AH
meter 14.41. unplugged, jumped to 14.67.
So OP is not imagining things where the voltage jumps briefly when you unload the inverter with the controller at its high set point.
