How high Vabs needs to be and for how long it should run is pretty hard to pin down.
It seems my particular results showed that Absorption Stage started at 14.4v when at approx. 95% SOC and Float began two hours later at approx. 98.5% SOC.
It took little time to get from 14.0 to 14.4, so little change in SOC could take place. So IMO 14.25v to start Absorption would not make any real diff in the SOC for the start of Absorption
However, you would need longer before dropping to Float assuming this all happens in the afternoon, to get a decent max SOC before dark or you started to use the batteries for supper, whichever comes first.
Perhaps having a lower Vabs means you should eat supper later!
