Help with TPMS Readouts

I bought the EEZ Tire Pressure Monitoring System with 4 sensors in July of 2018. It has always taken around 10 minutes for the display to show all 4 sensor readouts but yesterday it took nearly 45 minutes to get one readout. All 4 readouts were displaying after an hour. It has never taken that long for the system to work before. Once there were readouts, it worked fine but obviously something isn't right. The distance from the monitor to the sensors is no more than 25 feet. What could the problem be? Bad Sensors?, Bad Batteries?, Bad Monitor?
  • I change the batteries in our 10 TST sensors annually. At ~75-85 cents each it's cheap insurance.
  • Thanks everyone. I'll give new batteries a try and see if that solves the problem.

There's no guarantee they come new with fresh batteries. When I started having trouble I installed the repeater on the 5er, but I think all I needed was new batteries.

  • Perhaps delete and reprogram it? Could be batteries but the button batteries used by all the TPMS manufacturers use Lithium batteries. Mine have lasted for 4+ years and still working. On the ones (s) that seem to be slow coming on line take the monitor to each tire and unscrew the sensor. You should immediately get an alarm. Screw it back on and it should immediately connect to silence alarm.
  • Did some of the readouts show up quickly and then some lagged behind? I am unfamiliar with how the EEZ TPMS system works. If all four took a long time to show up I would suspect the monitor, but if only 1 or 2 took longer I would check the individual batteries.
  • do you have anything else wireless in the rig? Maybe wireless thermometer? once I took the batteries out of our wall thermometer and the wireless outside sensor for it, our tire system worked much better. Different brand but likely the same technology.
