Help with water heater
I have an Atwood 10 gal lp/elec water heater and I'm going to replace the tank. Do I need gaskets for this? All I've done so far is taken it out and haven't disassembled. Any help would be appreciated...

Yep I agree to welding the tank. There's a guy on my job that can do it at work for me on Tuesday. But I found a 10 gal suburban on Craigslist for 125$. I put it in yesterday after work. It works fine. Except I'll have to trim my opening bout 1/4". I took the insulation off and got it in just to make sure it works. Now I see that I have busted water lines. Looks like I'll have to re plumb the whole thing. Originally it was plumbed in grey quest pipe. Looks like PEX is the best replacement. But I may just go with pvc/cpvc. I guess I'm learning the hard way bout these rvs.
