Hengs Vortex II fan poorly balanced

I've had one of these for years, no problems. Yours is the first I've seen posted where there is a problem.

X2 mine runs great, blade appears well balanced and the bearings are impressive as the fan spins a long time after turning off.

I have read the same complaint about a Fantastic Vent fan, no manufacturer is immune from having defects.

Yep! I contacted the vendor and they sent a replacement- after a bit of chasing them around.

The replacement was fine and the vendor wasn't surprised. I think there are a quantity of them floating around.

Now I have noticed that the replacement I mounted seems to flex a bit (it's tilted a little to follow the roof line) and rub on the screen a little. I tweak the screen and it's fine until we travel a bit.

At some point I will probably look and trim off whatever is rubbing or moving around.

The one i had made a very high pitched wine. Very annoying.

All three of my Fantastic Endless Breeze fans makes dogs howl when I set fan speed on 3.

A warranty replacement does the same thing.

I resolved the issue by going deaf from tinnitus.

My 22-watt square muffin fan is silent and it blows the same amount of air as the Fantastic Fan set on # 2. The muffin fan unlike any of the three Fantastic Fans is vibration-free. The hard part is finding a 140 mm 12-volt 22-watt fan. The fan also has a perfect fan speed if you like "high".

Mine has been good for years. Kind of sounds like a jet taking off when it's on high, but no vibrations or rattles.

Mine rattles to the point I think it will kill itself over time. Unacceptable for $100 fan. Im returning to Amazon for a replacement. Will test replacement this time before installing. If still rattles will be looking for something else.

Returned the original to Amazon as being defective. Received a replacement this week and wired up and tested before installing. The new one vibrates just as bad as the original. Poor cheap Chinese quality control can't manufacture a round/balanced fan blade. Will be returning and looking at alternative solutions. This Vortex thing is junk IMO...
