I never said they were "Bad". I just believe they are NOT as reliable as a standard water based P trap. There may be "tons" of them, but I have only seen them on a few models that have zero clearance for a P trap and the only option is the valve type. What is YOUR technical or experience as a basis for your comments? I was asked, and I gave my reply based on my REAL experience AS a Professional. RUBBER does dry out and does NOT remain pliable forever. I AM a Tech and have replaced 2 such valves due to odor or leakage over the past 2 years or so. Doug
