I have had the Coleman 13.5 K PS installed on our last two trailers for that very reason. I have had no issue running my current unit on a single Eu2000 at 97 deg. F in my testing in Dallas.
Thanks for reporting on this!
Finally ... a user proving that a high efficiency (i.e. Coleman Power Saver model) 13.5K RV air conditioner could be powered by a Honda 2000, or equivalent, portable generator.
I hope RV manufacturers read this and begin putting only high efficiency 13.5K units in the thousands of RVs built each year. It's the only way to go. If we ever replace our 13.5K RV air conditioner, it will definitely be a Power Saver model even though we power it with a built-in 4000W generator.
As a somewhat related further example of the advantages of high efficiency air conditioning, a few years ago we replaced our residence old technology heat pump (operates the same way as an air conditioner) with a modern Scroll comperssor high efficiency heat pump of the same cooling and heating capacity. Our average home electric bill went way down and our comfort level went way up.
