Some folks burn a lot of miles, Some replace due to the "Shelf life" limit.
But I still like a good tread warranty... Also there are other things that help.
My car has road hazard on it... So.. I put on a TPMS when it arrived and towed it toward an "event"... about 2/3 the way there BEEP BEEP BEEP (low tire, left front, towed) sure enough it was.. Found a rest area, fired up the old huffer-puffer (Crafstman 6 Gallon 150 PSI pancake style compressor) and aired it up, arrived safely.
next morning running to town for something, Tire flat, aired it up and made trip safely
Next day: same
Next day Same
Returned home
Next day Same.. Aired up went to tire store
They found I'd been screwed, Removed Screw, applied proper internal patch, re-mounted and balanced, no charge out the door, good tire.
Another RVer, Same TPMS but did not immed install... he was in a campground when it arrived,, Was not 15 miles down the road, Same tire (left Front on towed) Flat, shreeded, not fixable, rim damaged, brake rotor damaged, fender tore all to heck by the flapping tire, over 2,000 in secondary damage.
Not the only time the TPMS saved my tires.
