Hi Gordon,
No there is no voltage sag. 125 amps I've seen. 127 is when the fets over loaded. I did have the inverter on. When I restarted I did so with the other loads reduced down to just 325 watts. The fets did not over load but as quickly as I could I reset the remote to use only 13 amps to prevent it from doing so.
What sort of batteries do you have? AGM's have much lower internal resistance, so I'm postulating that they wanted even more than 125 amps--which is the limit of what the magnum can do.
Good afternoon Don,
I'm using East Penn Deka "Heavy duty" AGM batteries, Group 31 from Sam's Club. 105 amps at 20 hrs, 200 amps reserve. East Penn recommends optimal charging amperage at 30% of the 20 hour rate, for my four batteries that's 126 amps - so the Magnum at 125 is a perfect fit. I'm sure they could accept a higher charge rate. I've put nearly 200 amp load on them while testing the limits of my inverter; they show very little voltage drop - so internal resistance must be quite low.
