A proper high efficiency design with a good heat sink there is NO need for a mechanical device that will fail aka FAN - it's only a matter of time before the fan goes south and the device it was their to protect self destructs from over heating
Check out the MS line of controllers - NO FANs in any of their equipment - one of the reasons I recommend that line
