The Fram Ultra, not the tough guard fiberboard endcapped orange can of death, or the extended guard or any other model fram filter, is one of the best constructed filters with the highest filtering ratios available.
It is also less expensive than other high end synthetic media, wire backed filters with Silicone, not nitrile, Anti drain back valves.
Don't equate the Fram 'Orange can of Death' with the Fram Ultra, as they are at opposite ends of the spectrum, at least in this point in time.
