PEX is not a name brand. It is an acronym for the type of plastic used to make the tubing--cross linked polyethylene. If you have a 1/2" fitting and need to connect to 3/4", a bushing is the easiest. If you wish to install a 3/4" fitting without a crimp ring, there are push-on fittings available. Sharkbite is a brand name of this type of push-on fitting. All of this is available at any big-box store.
