The Honda 1000w can run about a 45 amp non-pf corrected charger, so it is unlikely to be able to run a 50 amp charger. (who has one of those?---most go from 45 then jump to 55 or 60)
Since in Canada the Honda 2000 cannot be paralleled but the 1000w can, your choice is to get a second 1000 or a single 2000 depending on scenarios. Two 1000s will do more than a single 2000 because of their VAs)
Many find that their WFCO is unsat (won't do boost or float). You might be replacing it with something better so you want your gen to be able to run whatever you get to replace the WFCO.
I was told it was a 50 amp but I just went and looked and it is a 55amp charger. 8955PEC is model. I guess way more then what a 1000 watt can handle. When you say it won't do boost or float are you saying that it can't charge at near 50 amps? I never plug in this rv I let the solar charger do the battery charging at home (zero shade) my concern is near dead batteries after 2 nights of furnace use in winter with sun so low our trees around here block all sun. I guess the 2000 watt is the better choice.
