I just cleaned my Honda E2000. It was "searching" or loping along, had to set choke at 1/4 - 1/2 when a load was placed on it. I knew it was carb clean time. I picked up a guitar string at the local music store. I removed the main jet and venturi tube, sprayed with carb cleaner. Then I placed one end of the guitar string in a vise. One end there and one end of string free. I then ran the string thru the jet and tube. Holding one end of string I made like a zip line zip back and forth with jet and tube. Totally reemed them out, nice and clean, re-assembled, runs like a champ. I use only marine non ethanol gas in my generators, small engines. Juts wanted to share the guitar string theory.
