Thanks for the great post. I usually do this when I put my genny away for the winter.
Today I got it out again, and it started like a dream, as usual. I ran it for about 30 minutes under load. When I lifted it up to put away I noticed a small puddle of gas underneath. I took the side panel off and started it up again. The leak appears to be coming from the joint between the air filter and the carb body. I looked at that gasket and it seems to be ok. I then removed the float chamber in case it wasn't properly seated and made sure it was ok and put it back. Started again and still leaking.
I wouldn't have expected there to be that much fuel in the carb throat. Any suggestions?
