I have a Companion. Love it. Runs our 9.2 A/C without a problem (turn A/C off to run microwave). I use a dog-bone extension to go from the 30A twist lock to the camper's 30A male plug. I feel it's a little more heavy duty than the puck plug converters, plus it offers a bit of flexible strain relief.
An early heads-up: Virginia has a tax holiday May 25th-31st for Hurricane Preparedness. Generators, under $1,000, are included in the eligible items. Chain saws (under $350), duct tape, bungee cords, tarps, batteries, all kinds of stuff are Virginia tax exempt for that week.
