Honda eu3000 overload running carrier air v for 5 minutes

The generator is not supposed to shutdown in an overload condition. The overload trips and shuts off the power but the engine continues to run.

Start simple as 5 minutes is about the right time for a fuel tank vent issue to create a vacuum and starve the enigine. Try running it with the cap off.

If that doesn't work it could be the circuit board and I would take it Honda for testing.
