Honeywell thermostat connections for 1997 Bounder

Hi, I have installed a Honeywell thermostat, but when I turn the heat on, both the a/c and heat come on. The a/c seems to work fine when I turn it on. Can anyone help with a proper wiring diagram?also...

IS Fan control in AUTO??

IF that is not the issue then you need to post the Brand/model of:
A/C Unit
Furnace
Honeywell T-stat Model
AND WHAT was the old t-stat?????????????
