Hooking up Direct TV to RV

Hi all
I am tech illiterate, So after I get the Satellite equipment, I have Direct at home, how do you run it into the TV's in the RV in order for it to work. I believe the RV was prep for Wingard satellite it is a 2003 Newmar
  • pay attention to how you disconnect the Direct tv from the television at home and hook it back up to the television in the RV. OR you can do it like I do, let you son do it for you.
  • You need a dish first of all. Type is determined by what equipment you have at home. Easiest is to exactly duplicate what you have at home. Then it is a simple matter to duplicate your home setup in the RV.
  • Antenna output --> Receiver input
    Receiver output --> Television input

    The coax between the Antenna output and the Receiver input can be problematic on RVs. You may have to run a new coax line.

    And even this simple connection may not be complete. There may be splitters, power bricks etc involved depending upon what equipment.

    Post your dish model and receiver model for starters.
