Hot Water ...AC and Gas ????
When hooked up to shore power, do you run the hot water heater electric AC AND the propane? Does this afford faster recovery? This is the first camper I've had with AC element

Some of this depends on the heater make and model.
SOME use Electricity OR gas
Some Electricity and/OR gas
Some only gas.
This post addresses only the AND/OR types
Faster recovery: YES it will re-heat faster with both modes active
Cost IF you are paying for electricity, you need to know the cost compairson formula, which alas I HAVE NEVER BOOKMARKED and thus do not rememober. I will leave it up to others.
Where I am parked, under the terms of my agreement with the park (Standard membership contract) Electricity is "included" in the monthly dues. where I'll be in 2 weeks, it's included in the site rental.
So why pay for gas?
If I were paying for it, I'd do the math and bookmark the site.
