I will reiterate that I recommend circulating hot water if you will do this often.
My pump pulls about 1 amp at 12 volts and cycles on with the furnace so you do not hear it. The colder the conditions the more it runs. Saves water too as the hot(warm?) water is at the faucet immediately.

FWIW, the first thing I did was to disconnect the outside shower and stuff the area with insulation.
I can get the Hott Rod, now, from Camping World for a little less than Amazon. With free shipping. Given my hot water heater issues it seems like an easy way to go for an alternate fuel/heat source in that area.
