Assuming your Battery switch is a solenoid type with 12VDC control wiring.
Might need to look at the wiring...
Most of time I suspect it will go back to the DC Contacts on the solenoid have been arced over. These are usually sealed contacts so only recourse is to replace it perhaps... Might get a higher DC Amps rating solenoid...
I use BLUE SEA sealed manual switches with 350A contact ratings on my battery banks. No auto switching involved... Of course if your system is setup for solenoids than you will have to stick with those...
