Mexicowander, I will do the test once I believe the batteries are fully charged. Maybe tomorrow or friday.
Last night I rearranged the cable in the balanced method. Didn't like the red cable going all the way the to back battery. So I want to move the black cable to the back battery. It would be no problem except that I have the Xantrex
battery monitor shunt to deal with. It is mounted on the only space available, on the sidewall between the battery tops. I had a friend make me up a 1 gauge eyelet cable that's only 5 inches long. Won't reach the back battery's neg. post. Went to Autozone and bought a 12" 4gauge eyelet cable that will work perfectly. However, it appears smaller compared to the negative cable attached to the shunt. But it doesn't look like a 2 gauge either. Will the 4 gauge work for 12" from shunt to the battery or does it need to be larger?
