While waiting for new tires yesterday at WallyMart gringolandia I perused their batteries.
Their "group 24 deep cycle" battery had exactly the same weight, amp hours and CCA as a good engine starting battery of the 1960s and 70s. That meant 11 plates per cell of .055" thickness.
If those batteries are 'Deep Cycle" I am a Tibetan Monk.
