Bypassing a solar controller to apply the panel to a punch drunk battery likely requires a lot of effort to accomplish in most systems.
I know on my rig it would be a huge undertaking and degenerate into a tool throwing curse fest, but thankfully my controller allows me to easily change settings, and my Meanwell powersupply can do so at the twist of a dial.
