Thursday update:
7am was down 23.7ah and 12.46 volts at battery
Left Yosemite at 9am and drove home. Alternator was charging the batteries. The trip home was about 5.5 hours. We made a few stops along the way.
We pulled into the driveway at 5:15pm. Before shutting off the engine, I checked the battery monitor and it read 13.5volts, .5amps charging and still down -4.93ah.
Turned off the engine and attached my shoreline 110v power and came back 5 minutes later to check the battery monitor. It was being charged by the onboard Inteli power charge wizard on bulk 14.3volts at 5.3amps and down -4.79.
A recheck at 8:30pm showed charging at 14.6 volts .6 amps and +.54ah.
Should the batteries have been recharged fully by the alternator? It was down -23.7ah this morning and charged back to -4.93ah. That's less than 19ah recharge over 5.5 hours. It's a ford 130amp alternator.
So what conclusions can be made of the data
I just ran out and checked the alternator. 12.75v at battery, started engine and rechecked 14.2Volts. Checked at house batteries, charging at 13.33volts?? Could the charge wizard be holding back volts and amps? I thought it only works with the 110volt on???
I'm ready for a new MH. Saw one last sunday with 2 TROJAN 6v batteries
