I'm curious why you are adding an old school battery when the Yeti is a new school battery with an inverter.
emergencies and extra charging. the idea is to provide enough deep cycle battery juice to charge my yeti when the sun isn't shining, at night for example. sure, 700w solar input charges it in 3-5 hours, but what if I wanna use all that power? what if I can't sleep and the next day will be snowing? I need extra backup power, and since I JUST finished building it, I have not yet added outside storage. everything I carry is inside with me, or under the hood.
it seemed like a no brainer to add a battery, since I already had the room and can never have too much electricity. 95$ battery = hours of electricity for me in a worst case scenario.
so looking closely, I think there is already an isolator under the hood. heres a pic, is this the right thing? it looks hooked up, so I'm not sure what to do with it. it'd be awesome if it was already there! top right of photo
