Hi Loree,
Unfortunately the "equalization" every 21 hours is 14.4 volts for 15 minutes. While this may "stir" the electrolyte, it is no where near a proper equalization.
Since you appear to rarely be "off the grid" I'd go with a single AGM battery. To keep the AGM happy may require replacing the converter.

Dakota98 - no equalization charge - didn't know of such a thing until you mentioned it. Turns out the Charge Wizard in my PD9260 converter is supposed to do equalization every 21 hours - so it says.
