House Battery Selection

Good Evening everyone.
I know it is like asking if you like Chevy or Ford but I need 4 new house batteries. I have always used and loved Trojan but am having a problem getting them. The local supplier has the T145 plus but not the original T145. He sells the hydration system but not the batteries that go with it. Go figure. The plus has 3 tops and the original T145 had a single top. After over 4 weeks of waiting I am looking at another battery. Can anyone recommend another make of battery that would be as good or better? As I said everyone has their favorite but am hoping for a consensus.

    My RV was designed for an 8D, but those suckers are really heavy at 141 pounds. I couldn't handle lifting them in/out for winterization. I ended up taking a cutting torch and lowering the bottom of the battery compartment and widening it to accept 4 6Vs at 66 pounds each.

    NO reason not to go with the 145+ if you like trojan's.. Single top (Triple top) or 3 tops the batteries may well be identical. Only the tops are different.

    However many like to go to Sam's or Costco for the lower cost.

    I will likely do that when I replace mine. (likely this, or next, year)

    The Trojan site shows both with 3 tops. The only difference I see is in the battery connectors, which results in one being very slightly taller than the other. Are there any other differences you know of?

    As to the best solution for you, it's hard to get good info. People get very good results with Trojan, but those people are the same ones who care about batteries and know how to treat them right. My personal opinion is that Trojans are likely to be slightly better than say these Duracells that I bought, but nowhere near 90% better, which was the cost differential.

    I have those in my present rig. Moved them from my old 5er, no problems.

    Thanks for all the answers guess I have more research to do today. I have used the Trojan L16 on an off the grid cabin and they are fantastic but very heavy so would worry going down the road.
    I have looked at Interstate but never heard of Caterpillar or US or Lifeline so will get to it today
