It may very well be entirely normal, as was mentioned, especially if the meter is taking its reading from somewhere not near the batteries and its a fairly high load; you have wire losses etc. to also add in.
I would suggest checking that the connections to the battery and ground are all good and clean and tight, and that the wire terminations on them are solid. A (comparatively) high resistance connection will readily cause these voltage drops. It is also possible for an internal connection in a battery to become poor and high-resistance; I had a battery, since replaced, that did this between the end cell pole and the stud where the wire attached. I don't gather that this is a particularly common failure.
