MEXICOWANDERER
Sep 28, 2018Explorer
Yep but too many times, Double-Digit-IQ seems to be the rule rather than the exception. Service pedestals can be hidden in reinforced concrete pillars. I did not want my gardener digging up burial cable so it ran inside plastic conduit.
Whoa too intelligent...
Both the three pin and four pin receptacles were spec grade with dirt cheap but effective strain-relief rebar hangers in front that relieved 90% of the pull-down strain on the receptacles.
I asked and I asked and I asked...
Prices for power in Mexico are stupidly high. Please do not operate an air conditioner. People would turn on three roof airs then disappear for the day.
IGNORED
Special 10-amp breakers went into a locked panel, and signs were placed at the sites. TEN AMP MAXIMUM LOAD. NO A/C use. No electric hot water usage thank you. The bulk truck came around once a week to fill pots. I paid him a 200 peso tip for the hassle of tiny sales.
There are lots and lots of places inland at high altitude that do not need air conditioning. People who travel the coastal route are whether they like it or not, screaming for warm temperatures and high humidity.
Get a room at a 5-star resort then scuttle from room to restaurant. Brave heat and humidity to go shopping but end up abandoning ship to get to an air conditioned shopping mall or supermarket.
Now -that- is intelligent vacation planning, heh heh heh.
