Gas stations all over the U.S. should start adding EV charging pedestals ... so that eventually EV owners everywhere will merely (have to) go to them to charge ... just like the rest of us do for fuel.
And BTW, EV owners should pay for this charging based on (some criteria like) the weight of their vehicle and how many kilowatts they consumed to charge. The eventual goal across the country being one of having the EV owner's cost per mile for their use of electricity in the ballpark with the cost per mile to power a fossil fuel vehicle of approximately the same weight or some other criteria.
The cost to power an EV should not be an available reason to own one ... in all fairness to the rest of us. The use of EV vehicles can potentially offer many advantages (for their owners and the planet) ... but getting free or ultra-cheap electrical energy for vehicle motivation power should not be one of them until maybe way, way out in the future when renewable, clean, and free or cheap electrical energy is available for all of us for all uses.
All the above is IMHO, which is subject to continual adjustment.
