How common is silicone caulk usage by manufacturers?

I know the standard advice here is no silicone caulk anywhere around an RV. And from my experience - I agree! Nothing else, like the Proflex I want to use, will stick to it. And it is nearly impo...

On a rubber roof use no silicone based sealants, everywhere else I use Novaflex silicone based sealant. Link
To remove old silicon I use a plastic scraper and mineral spirits.

If you use cheap silicone you will end up with a cheap job.
