Two answers:
From a "Television reception" view point, no ground is needed, The antenna is a "Balanced" design, and those are NGP (no ground plane required) antennas, In the antenna will be a device sometimes called a transformer but it's really a balun may be 1-1 or 4-1 depending on the antenna design, this is what matches it to your coax into your RV, the shield of the coax is grounded internally.
FOr LIGHTENING protection (recommended) grounding the MAST is a good idea.. NOTE: if it gets hit, it wont matter if it's grounded or not, you gonna have damage.
But proper grounding may lessen the odds of a hit.
