how do I prime an onan 7000 gen

On my 04 7000 you hold the start stop switch in the stop position 5-10 sec before starting. Also holding the stop switch too long when shutting off will make quick startups difficult. It tends to flood them.

I know we do not have the same generator, but on our Onan 7500 QD the toggle switch on the generator and on the remote panel has two positions. Push one way to start and the other way to prime.

Give us the model and serial number so we know what you have. There are older 7000s and newer ones it makes a big differance we will help you.
