- dave17352Explorer III had a lot of fun researching and installing my 200 watt system on my Truck Camper. Solar is really addicting. If you are able, you might want to try it yourself. I want to install a bunch more but for my purposes I just don't need it. :( I have to agree with BFL.
JMHO - LwiddisNomadAs BLF stated, too much for labor.
On leaks, yearly maintenance will prevent problems, Issac. - Isaac-1ExplorerYou left out $2,000 for liability insurance for the installer to cover when the get sued in 5 years because one of the roof penetration screw holes leaked and the roof rotted.

I got a price for 4 panels 160 watts each
Victron charger,charge controller monitering system
total 4800 installed did not include batteries or inverter
Each panel costs about $185 so that's $740
Needs a 40 amp controller - $200
Trimetric monitor -$200
So that's $1,140 plus say $200 for wire, etc? Call it $1,500, so
4800 - 1500 = $3,300 labour? Yipes.
Run away!
