Want a very high charge rate combined with 40' distance with an automotive alternator?
- This calls for 3 or 4 phase unrectified (AC) power to travel the entire length from alternator to batteries
- Three or four wires
- And use of a DIESEL BIG RIG connector plug and socket
- A second plug and socket
- At the trailer batteries a full wave bridge rectifier with heat sink is used
- Using 8 gauge wire from stator to batteries it is guaranteed to pass nearly full alternator potential to the trailer batteries
- A big rig plug and socket has 7-wire connections
- DOUBLE UP ON EACH PHASE. One wire two pins
- This isn't theory. I've done it successfully several times
- For monster alternators choose the NINE WIRE PLUG AND SOCKET.
