With a 20lb tank, there is a difference between taking it to a propane filling station and having it filled vs. doing the propane "exchange" like Blue Rhino. If you take your tank to a filling station and the attendant fills it correctly, you should get 20 lbs. Pick up an exchange tank - you get 15 lbs.
My Dometic DM2652 uses close to 2lbs/day in hot weather. So yea, an exchange tank could be close to empty in a week.
