THIS is probably the best place to start.
If you are on a tight budget, AGMs aren't a good choice.
You won't know how much actual "run time" new batteries will give you until you try them out.
Then....I think that there is no substitute for a generator.
There has been a recent thread about good, fairly quiet ones that are really not that expensive. Champion ??
Solar is fine but again, with a tight budget not practical since enough capacity to do most of the recharging gets expensive.
