You are getting some good inputs from other responses. We dry camp for two weeks every year in a deeply shaded national park so solar is not practical. Our 12V solution is a single Trojan SCS 200 (Gr 27) 115 AH 12 V battery recharged several hours every morning using an EU1000 generator. I realize you are not ready to purchase a generator now but if your long term goal is to do multi day dry camping you should consider that as a highly desirable solution. If you are going to be staying in lightly shaded spots then solar is also an option.
Regardless of which way you go with batteries you really need to invest in a digital multimeter and learn how to use it so you can measure your battery voltage. Later on you should consider a DC clamp-on Ammeter so you can check battery discharge and charge current. These tools will help you avoid any unpleasant "out of power" experiences.
