"how to" on installing a 30 amp plug at your home?

It is just that simple and your on the right track, BUT!!!!!!! Your right, the wiring is not adequate for a 30 amp outlet. You need to run a new 10 ga three wire from your breaker panel to your 30 amp location, add a 30 amp breaker to the box and a 30 amp socket to the location you want the power for your RV.
