How to Order the Right 220V MALE Plug?

I got this genny that is labeled Jin Dong on the side. It runs like a champ and no it is not for RVing.

So it has a 220 outlet but I did not get a plug with it eons ago. I now want to run 220 off it. So I order this 220 V genny plug and sure enough it does not come close to fitting.

Point me in the right direction please. The new one i just got now resided in the spare junk box.

  • The ones I look at are marked 240 volts so be careful what you are using the genset for. Sounds like it could be a L6-20R or a L6-30R. The 30R is slightly larger. But is 240 volts plus a ground.
Look closely for amperage and voltage on the receptacle it self. Do not go by the sticker.
  • 4 pin? Twist lock? 30a? 50a? generator wattage? Picture? Model #?

At least post the plug NEMA designation that did not work.

Throw us a few bones here, something.
  • good thought and info enble, I will crawl back to it tomorrow and get something off of it that may be a clue.
