How to remove speed knob on fantastic fan?

It looks like it would be a very small hex key -- it's a little hole that goes deep into the knob from the side -- but the one I use to separate the motor from the fan assembly seems too large.

UPDATE: Got it. It was a 5/16" hex key (for anyone in the future who might search for this)
